Irish Recipe Pork Sausage

These ‘Irish recipe’ sausages confuse me! What is an Irish recipe, there is no explanation on the pack and no defined country of origin, other than the EU registration logo. I asked a Tesco member of staff where they where from, they said, ‘Ireland, probably,’  – who knows?

Oak Crown, Irish recipe sounds good – but what does it really mean? Where is the Pork really from?

  • It means it’s made to an Irish Recipe perhaps that’s where the processing plant is. I don’t see anything misleading, just trying to make something sound appealing.

  • Fair point, it’s not a claim on provenance.
