Bought from Tesco for only £1 without really looking, I know I should but was in a rush. Reading the label at home the company have removed the word ‘analogue’ from the front!
It does say cheese flavour analogue on the back but in a clear step designed to mislead the busy shopper they’ve taken it off the front!

Sainsburys basics range. It has a Union Jack on the front, but nothing on the pack confirms where the meat is reared. This is unlike other Sainsbury’s basic range that spell out where the meat is reared.

This is another good example of honest labelling and a product supporting British produce. It is clearly identified at the front of the packaging that fresh British beef is used. Nothing misleading here, well done Ginsters.

Sainsburys Basics – 4 pork pies

The basics range is most commonly associated with cheap, lower end products with the stereotypical view that the ingredients in these products being foreign. Not in this case, we are pleased to see that Sainsburys are using British produce for their Basics range. Keep up the good work.

Another example of a large super marketing using clear labelling for their own products which identifies British produce is being used for the main ingredient. Well done Sainsburys for your non misleading labelling and packaging.

Again, misleading wording combined with a misleading picture creates the idea that you are buying British. Not imported lamb in this case.

The picture of green rolling countryside, the wording “Great British Menu”, this product must surely be made from fine British produce? No, do not be fooled by the misleading wording and packaging. The chicken is in fact imported!
