‘Waterside Farm’? ‘Irish style’? I wonder what water side these are really reared near and whether they are even made in Ireland using Irish Pork? Too vague, and too many questions that need to be answered!

Cumberland Sausage

Most consumers think these are made in Cumberland? Unlikely, Country of origin is declared as just EU. Customer names are one thing, like Sheppards Pie, (which does not include any Sheppards!) but provenence is important to consumers, if you imply it’s from a place it had better had be!

Lincolnshire Sausages

Most consumers think these are made in Lincolnshire? Unlikely, Country of origin is declared as just EU. Customer names are one thing, like Sheppards Pie, (which does not include any Sheppards!) but provenence is important to consumers, if you imply it’s from a place it had better had be.

Irish Recipe Pork Sausage

These ‘Irish recipe’ sausages confuse me! What is an Irish recipe, there is no explanation on the pack and no defined country of origin, other than the EU registration logo. I asked a Tesco member of staff where they where from, they said, ‘Ireland, probably,’  – who knows?

Fresh British Topside/top Rump joint

OK top marks for clarifying that this is British (and Organic), good to know it’s ‘fresh’, which means it has NOT been previously frozen – but, the picture of ‘one of the farmers’ is too vague. Pleasing pictures of farmers are good if it is of the actual farm that produced that product. If Tesco’s will have traceability for each carcass directly to each farm, so why not identify the farmer individually?

Norfolk Outdoor reared Pork Tenderloin

Well done Tesco, this is totally clear about where and what it is. Only weak point is that you have used a picture of one of the farmers, if you are going to use a picture of a producer, the producer pictured should be the producer of that product.
