The ‘Witshire ham’ ingredient is in-fact ‘Ham, Wiltshire cured’, many consumers are confused when place names are used in describing a product. Some consumer could even think that this ham is from Wiltshire, which it is not.

    Using a place as a sign for quality needs to be backed by the product been made in that place. Wiltshire is a curing method,

    Quiet agree this mis labelling needs to be stopped

  • so becuase some consumers are ignorant as to why Wiltshire Ham is called that- you would have it redone and explain- i.e. dumb down the label! and in the process upset the traditional customers who do understand the difference. nope- to petty- if you do’t understand Wiltshie ham you probably don’t buy it- so who cares?
